2016 marked Malaysia’s 59th year of freedom from British rule.
But are we truly free? Until we stop our judgmental ways towards one another, no, we’re not.
The film, one of 2016’s most viewed Merdeka spots, called out to all Malaysians to #BukaLaHati – open their hearts and accept others as they are, so we can all free ourselves from oppression.

The Internet is a wonderful world full of possibilities.
And when we're given the freedom to fully explore this world – a promise Digi has upheld time and again – we, in turn, unlock the freedom to explore our own possibilities.

“Those who have less give more”.
Because they know what it’s like to have nothing.
Is this true, though? Or is it, like so many inspirational quotes, a work of feel-good fiction?
We found the answer on Deepavali, when we asked a group of orphans to cancel their celebrations to take care of some forgotten old folks.

In the month of Hari Raya, many are burdened by societal expectations to go home with extravagant gifts.
But are gifts really that important?
We didn’t think so, because the best gift of all is not something that we buy but something that we find deep within ourselves – our invaluable love for our family.

When Pokemon Go launched, fans went all out to catch ‘em all.
We, however, thought that their energy would be better spent at rescuing actual strays than catching virtual pets.
To send them a message, we went to where they were – Pokemon stations in malls and parks – and hijacked their hunting sessions, shifting their attention to animals that really needed it.

Being a “chicken” is bad. Normally. For it implies cowardice.
But April ‘20 is anything but normal.
The Covid-19 pandemic means that being a “chicken” is … good, because those who are not are the ones who get in trouble.
As a PSA/ fun lil’ project from BBDO, we want people to NOT play hero. We want them to #StayHome where it’s safe, not only for themselves but for others too.

You’re not you when you’re hungry.
Especially when you’re a deliveryman who’s always skipping meals, so ungrateful customers get their stuff on time.
Now, if only there was a way to relieve you of all your hangriness … like a machine that lets you punch, kick, and abuse in all sorts of manner AND feed you with some much-needed snack.
*This idea was conceived for the Greater China market, but never actually ran due to various reasons.

Car buyers didn’t use to think much of MINI.
To many, it was an overpriced and underpowered trophy car. Some even called it the “hairdresser’s choice”, such was its reputation.
That perception, however, was soon put to rest when we showed everyone just how powerful a MINI Cooper could be in the right hands.

Football fans are a colourful bunch.
They’re abrasive. Hopeful. Gloomy. Naïve. Loud. Illogical. Analytical. Sometimes, all at once.
To keep Tiger FC synonymous with football, we created an app – supported by a series of videos – that revealed to fans the classes that they truly belonged to.

Size don’t always matter.
Sometimes, it's the smallest actions that leave the biggest impact. Like Digi's Cili Padi Internet pass, which offers 3GB for a mere RM3.

Dealing with Digi used to be a massive hassle.
Between long queues, unresponsive call centres, and it giving away unwanted gifts all the time, customers had plenty of reasons to complain.
To restore confidence, Digi rethought the way it operated – launching the MyDigi app to make things faster, simpler, and more precise – and with a little help from us, got customers to rethink the way they looked at the brand.

People love a good scare on Halloween.
That’s why we have pranks. Horror flicks. Bloody cosplays.
On 2013, however, we did something different; a bait-and-switch in the form of a first-person shooter game, designed to scare people when they least expected it.

The World Cup is an occasion loved by billions.
Diehards or no, fans would often pick sides against each other, just for fun. The question is, whose side?
To engage them, we built an app that let them show off their true colours to their friends. Which, in turn, kept Astro on top of their minds.
